Clarion Hotel® The Pier

I had a bit hard time finding the hotel, although it is brand new. The area has few modern buildings and still some industrial buildings (which are very charming), but nearby there is not much in terms of restaurants or amenities as it looks. The hotel is quite welcoming and have a quite big reception. On the left when coming in there is the restaurant and breakfast area. The breakfast was quite standard but nice alltogether - I sadly not had the opportunity to dig into the different dishes, but all looked very well prepared and tasty. I did have dinner at the restaurant and it was very classy, especially the price which was a bit high. The standard was quite ok, but I took a fish soup and well, for how ok it was it didn't justify the high price. The room was very nice. I enjoyed it. I had a view over the water and the old building, the bed was sturdy and comfortable. It is obvious that the building is quite new as I couldn't see any major signs of it being torn in any way. The bathroom was also very nice and I appreciated that different dispenser for all products. I think the way the room was furnitured and decorated was making it comfortable and didn't make it feel too crazy-modern and neither unpractical. The only two things that I got disappointed was that, as mentioned above, it didn't seem that there were many possibilities to eat something just outside the hotel. I should have walked a bit, but I was eating a bit late and most of places in the area seemed closed. The other was that when I checked in I did ask to get my points registered, but sadly that didn't work out and I had to write few times to make that happen. I will try the hotel again so I hope I won't be disappointed again and I will confirm the positive aspects of this brand new, very comfy and elegant hotel!

My original booking via booking.com was canceled while I was en route to the hotel. The hotel were able to immediately get me sorted with another alternative even if booking.com would not do anything. The hotel and staff (especially the amazing Karen at front desk) were absolutely lovely, the breakfast was great, the room was perfect! And public transport was easy and close. Perfect stay at a perfect place.

It’s very rare you find a hotel that checks all the boxes but this is it for me. Had the friendliest welcome when arriving at a late hour. The check in was quick, easy and I was in my room in no time. I’d forgotten adapters for my electrical items, the hotel was like no problem. Turns out the rooms have USB and USB-C plugs in the rooms so was covered. Moving onto the room. I had the best sleep ever. Perfect climate control. Wonderful views to wake up to and just every little detail was just amazing. After a delicious breakfast (lots of choice, Swedish and international cuisine), I explored the hotel further, the gym looks really good (I didn’t use it… just told myself I should have) and they also had a sauna. Moving outside, the location. The freshest air ever (it was nice to breath there) and literally just over the water from the city centre. If you like to walk, it’s perfectly acceptable however as I travelled with people who don’t like to walk, the hotel directed us to a bus stop one minute away. Literally two stops later, you’re in the centre. The hotel pointed out the work being done on the water front. There’ll soon be the option of getting back and forth that way. Finally, the team. It’s clear that this hotel clearly has the customers at the heart of what they do. Everyone I spoke to was warm, friendly and open to sharing hints and tips to make our stay in Gothenburg magical. And it was… EVERYONE needs to visit this wonderful city. I’m already planning my next trip and I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

This new hotel was a real pleasant surprise. Very comfortable, modern, friendly staff and epic-good breakfast. The gym was excellent as well and included an olympic barbell with free weights. Good cardio selections as well. I was also afforded a very helpful lake check out as my flight wasnt till the evening. The hotel is about 3-4 km from the city center on the other side of a a river, its easy however to get to the city by bike or taxi or even walking if you have the time. A great stay.

It's a very new hotel and I like the wood at the floor and Furniture. Swedish style , which I like very much and absolutly fine stuff. I'll come again and again. The breakfast ist delicous and also her, the stuff make a very good job. Also the quality of tzhe food ist great
