Comfort Hotel® Xpress Central Station

A budget hotel with difference. Superb location for the train station and the local attractions, central to everything. I spotted this hotel in lockdown and it was my first choice when we got tickets for Depeche Mode in Oslo. The thing that really drew us to this hotel, apart from the location, was the balcony. We didn't intend staying in the room much but the balcony was brilliant, even in the rain! The hotel was cheap and I really loved the concept. Self-checkin was simple and easy. The Barception staff and cleaning staff were great, very friendly and very helpful. Everything was clean and worked. A good-sized shower and lots of towels to last the stay. This hotel concept is budget so cleaning of the room and extra services are extra cost. That said, the room was a good size and the balcony added to the experience, lots to do around the hotel and new people to chat with in the bar. Would have liked more storage space but we were living from a suitcase for a few days so it didn't matter too much. One great thing was late checkout on the Sunday, we were allowed to checkout at 15:30 so we could get a train and didn't have to worry about luggage storage. Overall, a really good hotel and experience. The balcony is a must have though, especially when it's not raining.

Great location near the train station, very quiet rooms, nice blockout drapery, extraordinarily friendly reception team. There was very limited surface space on which to place items (think: toiletries, charging devices, etc.) There was no space in the bathroom, a very small desk and two really small bedside tables. There was one innovatively-constructed suitcase valet: it was a small wooden door on a wall and when you pull on the handle the ‘valet’ unfolds. Unfortunately it is installed right across from the bathroom door; so in our room, if you utilized this creative function, you have no access to the bathroom from the bedroom area.

Modern and comfort hotel with good sized rooms. One of the mostly budget price than other hotels in the Oslo. In the center of center, best position to stay in the city for short-long term. Nice people in the looby bar, because there is no reception. One minus is problems with the tablets to do check-in/outs and view but it depends on which floor are you.

Having read previous negative reviews, we were braced for an uncomfortable one night stay here. But we found the hotel a very good budget option. The welcome at the bar/reception was friendly and helpful, our twin room was a good size with good quality bedding and nice firm beds in the Scandinavian style. We had a window that opened, and a large bathroom with an excellent shower. Basic body/hair wash provided, very like a Premier Inn in the UK. We didn’t buy the breakfast bag or anything from the well-stocked fridge or bar, but this was a useful amenity. The ‘reception’ lounge was a comfortable place to sit; water and glasses were provided on the bar counter. The rooms are let down by being decorated in very dark blues and greys, which hide a few scuffs and marks, but are gloomy and depressing. A touch or two of lighter colour would help. As others have mentioned, the doors take ages to lock; this is a security fault that management needs to address promptly. We would stay here again.

Good location but thats about it! Small rooms, dirty and leaves no doubt its a budget hotell. The price was the same as other hotell in the area so i recommend you to go somewhere else. You also have to pay extra for breakfast.
